When i seen this add I had to try it. I was tearing off a flat roof that was around 5 inches thick. I don't know how many layers but i was impressed that blade cut threw it. 5'by5' squares around 1200 sq' and used 1 blade. Once you make the fist cut of around 2 1/2 " the roofing below crumbly. VERY IMPRESSED

Grab any 'demo' blades you have laying around a sharpie, and label them rough framing- because after you use use a big blue you'll know what a true demo blade does. These are my go to from now on.

Worked better than expected. Roofing doesn't gunk up in the saw either. I mean the big cutter is more powerful but this thing is a gem. You can absolutely do a whole roof, if you don't have access to a cutter. Just take it easy on the circ saw. Don't force it...

I'm tearing off the whole roof and this blade is one angry beast. Rips through plywood and shingles and never misses a beat. No clogging. No stalling. Rip down hill between the rafters and shingle tabs to avoid nails and cut as fast as you want. Tears through the aluminum drip edge to finish the cut. This tool is an absolute must for this kind of job. I always say that there is a right tool for every job and this is the tool for roof demolition.

After trying other blades this demolition blade is the very best overall. There is no other blade that I have tried that last as long as the BigBlue 5T Demolition Blade when it comes to cutting through nails when I removed the roof of a old house.

Our large 100+ year old roof had 5 layers of asphalt roofing (over an inch thick) and a layer of sheet metal over 3/4” boards. The 3T blade cut through all of it with a DeWalt circular saw. This blade saved hours of labor.

When the previous home owners had laid the deck, either no spacing or very little spacing was put between the boards. After years of pine needles, leaves, dirt and everything that got trapped I was trying to determine the best way to proceed. I welded to recipro blades together and it "worked" but felt as though you had used a jack hammer. Saw a review of the BigBlue "Nasty" Demo blade and thought what can I lose for that price. Holy Toledo!!!! Nothing stops this blade, dirt, wood, nails, etc, etc. Deck boards now have nearly perfect spacing, didn't use a straight edge, just took my time to follow the "groove". Blade didn't kick, stall, anything - like cutting butter. BigBlue Demo blade is the best.

This blade is amazing! It cut through 3 layers of shingles and 1/2 inch plywood like crazy and turned what would have otherwise been a very difficult job, in to a fairly easy task. I would recommend this blade to anyone who is looking to demo a roof.

Came across Bigblue on YouTube while researching removing a tar and gravel roof system. I bought just one big blue to try it out and damn, this thing was able to slice through 2300sq ft of the 70yr old tar and gravel on my house roof. In some places it was about 1/2” thick, yet no problem for Bigblue. Hasn’t lost or even damaged a tooth yet. Can’t recommend this blade enough for this type of demo. 5 stars for sure.

My deck boards were not spaced when constructed causing moisture issues. I used the Big Blue blade to cut a kerf along the seam lines and it was the perfect solution. Looks good and did the job! Highly recommend the product.

These blades work better than I expected, and I can't seem to dull them. A great time saver. We cut an entire roof of a barn we salvaged with 1 layer T-locks and one layer cedar shake. The 3T we were using is still sharp. One blade arrived defective, and they sent a new one out right away no questions asked.

I'm renovating a 100 year old house and having to remove considerable plaster/lathe. It works great cutting parallel to or perpendicular to the lathe underlayment. The blade seems impervious to the plaster. And the bonus is while maintaining sufficient blade RPM, there is almost no dislodging of adjacent plaster.

This may be a new use for the 5T blade. My 20 year old pressure treated deck is still in great shape, except for the lack of gaps between the boards.
Board swelling, and warping over time eliminated 80% of the gaps, dirt, and other "stuff" filled the remaining 20% of the gaps.When it rained, the deck became a "duck pond", holding water, sometimes for days.
The deck surface is 2X6, rather than the typical 5/4x6, and the 2X6's were installed with the typical "nail width" gap. Well, after many attempts to clean the gaps, I decided to "saw" the gaps to widen them, A regular blade would not cut the treated wood, the blade would clog with the large amount of sawdust being created. A regular blade was too narrow, I even tried stacking three blades on the saw at one time. Slivers would jam in between the blades, making them wobble.
Well, I found the 5T blade, and today I widened the gap on over 400 linear feet of gap, I have that much or more to do tomorrow.
Due to the 2X6's swelling, the gap ranged from zero to no more than 1/8", now I have a uniform 3/16" gap between the deck boards that I cut. We found a coating that will make the deck look great, but, the coating would not have worked with the dirt, and rocks filling the gaps between the boards. I know there were some rocks (small), because I saw the sparks fly when I hit them.
The 5T has SAVED our deck, maybe it is not only for demo, anymore!!??

This blade is all you need to take down a shed with asphalt shingle roof. It worked too easy in my circ saw and made my demolition work a snap.

Love these Blades for cutting through old Roofs to set HVAC Curbs! I bought this pack not because I need them (cause these blades really last so I still have 3 new ones from my last pack) but because I was afraid something may happen and I couldn't get them when I do need them. Hot Knife Through Butter I Say, with NO Gumming Up The Saw, I still can't believe it and I was the one using it!
